JCA Circuits was started Circa 1992 while attending Drexel. Having a deep admiration and passion for music & musical performance, I set out to build instruments which maximally pleased my own senses as a musician as well as offering the highest possible levels of performance & build quality. I always found myself completely enchanted by the possibilities which exist while attempting to create extraordinary musical instruments. This Ethos was adhered to throughout the entirety of JCA Circuits’ existence. I eventually came to discover that the Work appears to occupy its own special niche within a very complex and competitive market. I’ve honestly never felt the need to be competitive with others when it comes to creating my own music or musical instruments. I’ve always viewed the Work as Art which either stands on its own or not, depending on who’s calling that shot. I simply try to make what brings me joy as a musician.
Due to the difficulty in sourcing the types of premium parts and vacuum tubes that I love, heavy manufacturing costs and labor-intensive construction techniques, JCA Circuits concluded operation a few years ago.
