The JCA Circuits “Split It” is what I consider to be the ultimate passive splitter box for stereo, wet-dry, or dual-mono rigs. The JCA Circuits “Split It” allows the user to configure their guitar, bass, and instrument rigs in one of several stereo, dual mono, or wet-dry configurations with two amplifiers with no added noise and very close to perfect audio reproduction.
Since this is a passive device, there are also no power supplies to contend with which typically add noise and distortions. All electronic components are passive and are selected because of their individual audio performance characteristics, specifications & quality.
Input jacks are the superb quality Switchcraft #11 & #12 type. These jacks physically measure lower capacitance and contact resistance plus exhibit less losses than ANY other 1/4″ jack I am currently aware of.
The wire is Alpha brand solid core silver plated oxygen free copper with a teflon dielectric jacket. This is great small signal wire. Solder joints are terminated using rosin core 60-38-2 silver bearing solder.
The incredibly high performance of the JCA Circuits “Split It” is possible because it utilizes the superlative Jensen Transformer JT-11P-1 at it’s heart. The JT-11P-1 sits at the apex among the very finest electronic audio transformers for this application.
