6AS7/6080 Servo Tube Amp deployed in a HOT cathode follower driving the headphones directly with NO output transformer. This thing is capable of driving either low impedance Grados (32 Ohm) OR higher impedance Sennheisers (300 Ohms) to near ear bleeding SPL’s with superb fidelity and a very tight, fat tone. Forever and ever with zero issues. How’d he do that, you may ask yourself? It’s because I’m running several thousand uF’s of capacitance, separate power supplies for the B+ rails for BOTH signal tubes PLUS separate power supplies the filaments! DC filaments on the 6SL7 and AC filaments (center tapped) on the 6080/6AS7. This is among my VERY favorite performing audio designs. 22+ years old with zero issues so far. Wish I were 22 again with “zero issues”…
